EVENTOS INTERNACIONALES

The 34th IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), which will be held at the Taipei International Convention Center in Taipei, Taiwan, April 19-24, 2009.

The ICASSP meeting is the world’s largest and most comprehensive technical conference focused on signal processing and its applications. The conference will feature world-class speakers, exhibits, and over 140 lecture and poster sessions.

It is apparent that the frontiers of science as well as various new technologies have created a completely new horizon of signal processing. The ICASSP 2009 theme is hence “Signals over the Horizon.” It is our hope that signals about such frontiers and new technologies and beyond will be transmitted from the conference and received all over the world.

WESPAC X, the 10th Western Pacific Acoustics Conference, will be held in Beijing, China on 21-23 September 2009.

The Congress is co-organized by the Acoustical Society of China (ASC), the Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IACAS), and the National Laboratory of Acoustics Chinese Academy of Sciences, The organizers warmly invite and welcome all the prospective participants around the world coming to join us in Beijing and to communicate in the up-to-date advancements in acoustics.

The conference will be held over 3 days from 17-19th June 2009 in Aalborg, Denmark.

This Third International Conference, organised by Ince/Europe, will once again provide a venue for all those with an interest in wind turbine noise, and its effects on people, to meet together and also meet with those who design wind turbine installations, both in industry and in the planning process.

There is also an introductory course on noise on the afternoon prior to the conference. This has proved very popular in previous years.

The International Congress on Ultrasonics are launched as a new conference format to overcome the fragmentation of the scientific and engineering community working in the general field of ultrasonics. It is expected that the ICU will provide an excellent platform for the exchange between scientists from industry, academia, government and suppliers of ultrasound equipment.

The 2009 ICU Santiago, Chile local organizing committee wishes all participants of the 2009 ICU Santiago, Chile a fruitful congress and an enjoyable stay in Santiago, Chile.

NOVEM 2009, the third in the conference series, will bring together researchers working in the areas of noise and vibration. The goal of the conference is to promote significant discussion and exchange of scientific information.

The conference is targeted specifically at people from research establishments (universities, research institutes) and from industry who are responsible for developments in the fields of noise and vibration design, modelling and control.

The emphasis of the conference is on new and emerging methods, techniques and technologies in acoustics and vibration, focusing on specially selected thematic areas which represent today's major scientific challenges.
